OPERATING ACTIVITIES

Poliport was founded in 1971 in Dilovası, where Polisan Holding facilities are located, in an attempt to provide bulk liquid services. With its jetty, pier, embarkment, and warehousing facilities, Poliport is one of the largest ports, closest to İstanbul on the Anatolian side.

Poliport has 3 main operational activities:

Bulk Liquid Services, capturing 58% share
in revenues, have the highest profitability.

Of the total cargo handled, 41% comprised chemicals and 59% petroleum products, which have higher added-value compared to other business lines. The cargo handled generates revenue of ~$19.4 per ton. Since 1990s, the world’s largest manufacturers such as Dow, BASF, Bayer, and Shell are among the clients of Poliport. The annual handling capacity of the terminal is 2.5 million tons. In 2018, total cargo handled stood at 1.5 million tons and the terminal fill rate was 81%.

Dry Bulk and General Cargo Services
constitute 27% of Poliport revenues.

Total cargo handled in 2018 amounted to 2.8 million tons, with 54% comprising coal, 21% steel roll, 14% aluminum, 3% aluminum profiling, 2% sheet metal, and 6% other products.

Warehouse Services
are provided on a 43,250 square meter land.

Warehouses services constitute ~15% of Poliport’s revenues. Through its website, Poliport provides with the opportunity to track the inventory and delivery of the products stored in A Type General Warehouses where it offers storage and logistic services. In 2018, 418,386 tons of cargo was stored in A Type General Warehouses.
